Performance/Video

September 10th-14th 2017
Documentation of performance piece I did in my gallery "We are as Happy as We Make Up Our Mind to Be". I would for the whole week (5 -7 hours a day) sit inside the gallery and lick the salt lick shaped like my grandfather's wood-carving of a bird. I sat like the woman from Andrew Wyeth's painting "Christina's World".

An experimentation with figuring out my performance character. When I do my performance pieces I wear wigs and extravagant dresses or feminine bodies. Who is she? Is she me? What is my body? Inspired by my readings on the french philosopher Deleuze.

Artificer's Born
November 9th, 2017
This piece deals with my gender-queer identity and the complications of how I view my self and what I want based upon that "Pygmalion self" that sub-misses me. Music score is titled "Maria's Born" from silent film Metropolis
